Meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General

On December 15, 2023, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN, Jonibek Hikmat, had a meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General, Amina J. Mohammed.

 

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed various issues pertaining to the cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Nations, with a particular focus on water and climate change as well as the situation in Afghanistan.

 

 

 

Regarding water and climate, parties emphasized the importance of following up of the outcomes of the UN-2023 Water Conference and expressed their readiness to continue and further enhance cooperation in this field.
